I was in secondary school when I first visited NIFES (I followed my uncle who was a student of PTI Effurun) and I concluded “this will be the fellowship I’d attend when I gain admission into the university”.
My father reminded me to locate NIFES during my registration process and ensure to always attend. My best experience in NIFES DELSU was joining the Grace Singers. My spiritual experience will never be complete without making reference to NIFES. It’s always home for me.

I heard about NIFES in secondary School through Corp members.

They modelled Christlikeness through out their service year in my school. One of the things they did was to organize a tutorial for the graduating class.

NIFES and the NIFES logo were always written and designed on the board beautifully.

So, after I gained admission I looked for the Fellowship Corpers talked about. I joined. God worked through NIFES to give me deep Christian roots and opportunity to serve the Lord on campus.

NIFES was my seminary on campus and the workshop where I was made and the platform that exposed me to opportunies and challenges for growth and kingdom service.

My life then became NIFES. I move on to serve as a Staff for 15 years and now as an active Associate and a campus missionary.

Thanks to the generations of Students, student leaders, Staff Workers and Associates that God worked through to shape and sharpen my life. Thanks to the people God used to make the vision a reality on campus.

Glory to God for NIFES @55

After my first visit, the welcoming song and the way brethren welcomed me was amazing. This hospitality took me closer to the fellowship and God grace helped me served in some offices. I enjoyed the Bible sections, choir section and the undiluted word of God. Congratulations to Nifes @55. Long live Nifes!

Praise God for NIFES. I saw NIFES values and mission lived out by my elder sister, who was a NIFESIAN in IMT Enugu at the time I was still in secondary school. She was aflame for Jesus. At the time I was ready for the university my church had just launched a campus ministry which would have been my destination. But God arranged that my first contact in the university was the NIFES family, beginning from hospitality it translated to a significant spital journey.

Through student leaders and dedicated staff members, God used NIFES to shapen and sharpen my calling to be a disciple and to raise disciple making leaders. NIFES was God’s instrument of formation and transformation, discovery and development, renewal and revival.

Been introduced into NIFES by my elder sister and me obeying her to join NIFES is one of the best decisions I have made coming to NDU Bayelsa state.
I have grown in a little while joining and I know I’m moving to greater height. NIFES is not just a family but another grooming platform In a dimension which supercedes one’s imagination and thinking.
I’m glad that NIFES Is in existence

My NIFES Story

Like a flash of Life to an awaken body I began my journey in higher institution with an hope of find a home I can call mine.

How it started;
On arriving school premises everything seams new, the environment, the calibre of people. But as it is my tradition to always search for a place of Worship even b4 getting to know my lecture room or classroom, then behold a group of people setting up for service that faithful Tuesday. Went into the auditorium and few minutes later the service began, and God I felt so welcomed. It was like love at first sight, there my Journey as a NIFESIAN begins now am proud to say NIFES is home to me.

God Bless NIFES

My NIFES Story……

Life has really been ups and downs, Storms, winds. I always knew they were going to end one day, I knew peace would be the latter end of the storm.
I got admission to Ekiti State University few years back, I used to have this mentality that when get into tertiary level I was going to join RCF [Redeem Christian Fellowship] cos I’ve always been a RCCG member back at home.
Stories upon stories led me to NIFES, I can only share few. I got to EKSU late, a month after they’ve started lectures. I was unaware, ignorant. I felt naive, unknowlegeable that that happened to me, but then, I never knew God has more plans than I ever expected.

I left Ibadan with just a backpack or rather a bookbag, no foodstuff just few stationeries and a few clothes. Kaiiiiii, I saw life another Way, what kind of storm could this be? I soliloquized but I felt peace, though it meant no meaning, no sense to me but I carried on.
On getting to the school area I knew nobody except someone ‘who I called but disappointed me. My parents called to know my whereabouts I declined cos I was feeling scorched standing under the sun, my thoughts were clouded, I almost wanted to cry but I tried being a man. I prayed a silent of Faith. Thank God for his Spirit, I remembered my one time Asst. Pastor’s wife had a sister worshipped with us for few weeks before I had she traveled to school [EKSU], I called the man, told him about my ordeals.
I knew positivity was going to come out of that cos if not I had made it up on my mind to find a fellowship to sleep. He shred me the sister’s contact, we met at AVCU-NIFES junction where the fellowship is also situated.

Glory to God, that got settled, I thought I was going to find a place of abode with one of the brothers, my thoughts tho. But I was shocked not disappointed when she made me meet the president of the fellowship, is that necessary I asked myself but I was calm anyways, I met the MOG, he told me I was going to be the ninth guy staying in the fellowship quarters I exclaimed, I gave him a positive attitude on our discussion [rules and protocols that guide the fellowship].

My experience was a pleasing combination of elements, hell and tranquility. Nine boys sharing a total of 3 foams. God is great, we didn’t even find it unpleasant, we carried on though there were days of fight and harmony. Things started to fall in pleasant places when we started to get hostels, the secretariat helped by making us a two while searching.
Let me put a full stop there, more stories will be shared some other day.

My NIFES story

NIFES is christian body that is position to refine every crude state of students on campus. I will liken the ministry of NIFES as a spiritual refinery to distill the spiritual virtues unlock up in your vessesl. I am a living testimony to the distillation process of God through NIFES ministry. My journey started 2006 in Universityof Maiduguri, at that time brethren engage in bible study with the view to allow the bible speak to you, u could feel your emptiness before God as the holy spirit prune you as we continue in sharing thought. 2007 i was given the privilege to serve in the central Executive of Fellowship as Evangelism coordinator the passion to reach my friends with the gospel of Jesus Christ was a strong desire that keep burning, Hostel to hostel evangelism was an amazing experience among the members. Prayer was truly the optimization of our Faith. I will never forget when the Lord wake few of us to start prayer move to birth revival on campus. I am glad today that most of us who got the prompt to respond to God in prayers are in ministry after campus by His grace. The likes of Evangelist Ukumen Benjamin, ogbemudia, finbarr to mention but a few.
Your brother in Lord
